Back from my months long hiatus, and it shows. The sound quality is not the best. I did forget to adjust levels in post production. It was a good first run back after being out of the game for 4 or so months. Better next week.

I'm still have plans for this blog, but I've taken to posting more over at my Tumblr blog lately. So please check it out at:
I'm also posting quite a bit at Twitter and Google+, so follow me there too.
Testing out this service: ShoutOmatic: Audible Shout-Outs: Stop Typing, Start Shouting!

Think of it as a way to Tweet your voice. Something similar to Utterli (when it was around).
I think its time to redesign this blog again. I'm not sure exactly what it will look like yet, but I have some ideas. Check back in a few weeks to see if I found the time to do it. In the meantime check out this video from one of my favorite anime:
Since I want to get back into the habit of blogging again I thought I’d start off by writing up a list of some form. I can’t think of a better way to get going than to recommend some of the best anime I’ve discovered over the last few months.
By the way, if you have a broadband connection, go get yourself a Netflix subscription and a Roku box. They won’t break your budget and will provide you with countless hours of entertainment.
So here’s a list of anime I highly recommend you watch. All of these titles are available on Netflix. All links point to Wikipedia.
It's the adventures of this little black cat who follow this blond guy in a red coat around... wait that's not it.. Just watch it.
It may only be 6 episodes, but its one of the most creative and funny anime you'll see.
A tale of a boy and a Federation police office, who just happen to be sharing the same body.
Follows Exorcist Allen Walker as he does battle with the forces of the Millennium Earl. This one is still going on. Waiting for Netflix to add more.
The story of Special Services officer named Daisuke Aurora and his android partner known simply as "J". Has a great theme song too.
Tale of a young boy as he learns to survive after being stranded on the penal colony of Chimaera.
I didn't know if I would like this one, but it has really become on of my favorites. It's about a high school student who spirits are attracted to. Hoping more episodes become available.
The adventures of a wandering mercenary in the desert
Okay these last three have to be the ones I like the most in this list. I was actually saddened when I finished watching them. Not for the content, but for the fact I was done with all the episodes.
About students of the Death Weapon Meister Academy. If I tell you more it would spoil it.
A space opera done right. If you like giant space robot fighting anime, this is one you shouldn't miss.
"Just who the hell do you think we are?!"
Currently not available for instant viewing. Netflix does have DVDs available. If you don't want to watch the whole series, not sure why you wouldn't, you can watch the two movies, "Gurren Lagann: The Movie: Childhood's End" and "Gurren Lagann: The Movie: The Lights in the Sky Are Stars". Watch "Childhood's End" first.
Well there you have it. Now get online and get to watch'n...
It was a dark and stormy night. No not really. It was actually at sundown and it wasn't actually storming. We did have a cold front move in causing a steady bone numbing wind if you were out in it for any span of time. Unfortunately we were, including Baby.
I just gotten home from grocery shopping and was carrying the sacks into the house. As I was bringing in the last load of groceries, Baby seeing the opportunity bounded out the open door and into the cold and darkening night. This is when Baby's adventure began.
She sprinted across the front yard stopping unexpectedly in the drive way and proceed to roll around a bit. I'm not sure why she needed to roll around at that moment, but I gave up trying to figure cats out long ago.
I, foolishly I now realize, called to Baby to try convenience her to come back into the house. I even tried the ol' making a flicking of the cat food packet sound. All that managed to do was get the other two cats in the house hungry and congregate at the front door. So now I had to shoe the other cats away from the door so they wouldn't leap out into the night. See I told you it was foolish.
This is the exact time when Baby stopped rolling around the driveway and dashed into our neighbor's yard. The chase was on. My wife and I grabbed a flashlight, bundled up, and braced ourselves against the bitterly cold wind to go after the wayward cat.
This is where I need to stop and let you know a little about Baby(the cat). First off, that is her name, Baby(the cat). We had to add (the cat) to her name to avoid some unintended confusion when it came to telling these stories. If we ever said, “we kicked baby off the bed,” we want to make sure you know we're talking about a cat, not an actual baby. She was named Baby because she's quite a small cat. The other two cats, who came to stay with us much later after we adopted Baby, are twice her size.
Next thing about Baby you should know is she's antisocial. She's not a sit in your lap and be loving type of cat. Oh she'll grace you with her presence and be in the same room as you, but don't you dare pet her. Unless of course its on her terms, otherwise you are unworthy. This is one of the reasons why it was difficult to get her back into the house. If you go after her, she will run like someone skipping bail.
Into the night she ran though our neighbor's yard. We managed to keep her in site, but at the last moment she darted under a hedge. We'd lost her.
My wife and I walked around for a while looking for her. Not an easy thing to do looking for a small gray and white cat at night amongst the clutter of neighborhood. We had just about given up and started to head back to the house when I heard it, the tiny tinkle of her bell over the howling wind. She was still near our yard.
This gave me an idea, so we headed back into our house. First thing we had to do was secure the other pets. Widget (our dog) was easy enough, but it took some aggravating moments trying to herd the other two cats. During the tussle to get Kelso and FB into a room, I faintly heard Baby's bell in our backyard.
I opened our backdoor and adjusted the screen door to stay open. Luckily for us backdoor was on the opposite side of our house from the howling wind. I looked out over our backyard, but didn't see Baby. So I headed back out into the night, and walked down the alley behind our house when I saw the reflection of cat's eyes. It was Baby. Not wanting to spook her I slowly walked around her so she was between me and the house. As predicted she ran back toward our backyard.
I was thinking, “this is going to work,” but it didn't go as planned. My wife was doing the one thing that would prevent this plan from working. She was standing in front of the backdoor. Baby darted away from the backyard again.
“Get out of the doorway!” I yelled, and headed back down the alley again. I caught back up with Baby a few minutes later. Well if you don't first succeed...etc. Baby is once again heading to our backyard.
Success! Baby darts through the open backdoor and into the warmth of the house. Quickly behind her I tried to close the backdoor. I don't think its ever taken me longer to slide the screen door stop back so I can close the thing. We've finally got her back into the house, and all without someone bleeding. (unlike last time).
Baby wasn't happy, but what else is new. She's inside where she wouldn't freeze to death. She's a tiny cat after all.
