Progress continues on our Home Office make over. Yesterday I finished pulling up all the staples from the floor. It took about three hours. Boy did my knees hurt after that. Guess I'm getting old.



After that I finished masking the trim around the windows and door. Donna is going to go pick up the paint on Tuesday.



We decided we're going to wait a month or two before we carpet the upstairs. With everything going on right now, (school starting, 100 degree weather, etc.) we thought it would be good idea to just wait. We did get an estimate it will cost between $800 and $1,000 to carpet the entire upstairs depending on which carpet we pick. It will be brown, that much we do know. If you remember the carpet from my old apartment, it will be like that.

In other home improvement news, we are getting a new DirecTV dish. Seems our pecan tree is blocking reception. So next Sunday DirecTV is coming to install a new dish on our roof. Currently it's on a pole in the backyard near the garden. A technician came out Saturday to realigned our dish, and discovered part of the signal is being blocked. On the plus side, after he realigned the dish our HD reception improved 100%.
