Speak It - Firefox Add-on
Looks like someone finally rebuilt one of my past favorite Firefox extensions (now called Add-ons). Foxyvoice was a wonderful text-to-speech tool to read pages or highlighted text to you within Firefox. When Firefox went to 1.5, Foxyvoice stopped working. Just today I found someone has fixed Foxyvoice and released it as Speak It.
Read pages or selected text using microsoft tts engine. This is a rewritten version of foxyvoice

Works with: Firefox 1.5 - 2.0.0.* Windows
Speak It - Firefox Add-ons

I've gotten it to work with both the voices that come with Windows and with ATT Natural Voice. I prefer ATT Natural Voice, but the MS voice, Anna, that comes with Vista isn't too bad.

Have you tried Talklets.com?

Works with more browsers, and has a MUCH better voice... :) As well as some nifty features.
How did you get other voices to work with it? All mine shows is MS Sam even though I’ve downloaded several others...
In Windows XP check - Control Panel - Speech - Text to Speech tab.

Make sure your voices did install. If not refer to any help from where you purchased or downloaded the additional voices.

ATT Natural Voices I really like. Google/Yahoo Search around to find where you can purchase a copy.
I have installed speack it but its not speaking selection. Also these options are disabled. When i click on the speak it icon on status bar it starts speaking from beginning. Any one knows why...
